Top executives added to The Salvation Army board

The Salvation Army of The Bahamas recently inducted two new members to its advisory board during a recognition reception.

Sean Moree and Cameron Symonette are the newest faces to the board.

The Salvation Army's Advisory Board consists of community leaders and industry professionals who provide counsel and practical interest that assists The Salvation Army with its work throughout the community. With this group of executives giving technical and professional support, it helps the Army carry out its mission of doing the most good. The current chairman of the board is Judy Munroe and Felix Stubbs is vice chairman.

Major Lester Ferguson, divisional commander, said, "The Salvation Army is pleased and deeply honored to have Mr. Moree and Mr. Symonette join our board.

"We have every confidence that they will be a tremendous asset in helping to guide the work of the Army forward here in The Bahamas.

"They join a team of other accomplished professionals and business leaders who serve on our board, and we are excited to have them on board as we seek to even more effectively serve the needs to others."

Symonette, president of the Symonette Group, noted, "I am deeply grateful to the advisory board leadership for allowing me to be a part of this great organization.

"I look forward to continuing the tradition of helping the Salvation Army do the most good for others as my grandmother did." Moree, an attorney at McKinney Bancroft & Hughes, said he was humbled by the invitation to serve on the board.

"The Salvation Army as a charitable organization is beyond repute and one which has always met the needs of those less fortunate," he said. 3

"The opportunity to contribute to the Bahamian people through The Salvation Army's efforts is a special one and one which is not to be taken lightly."
