Scotia Bank Rushes to Support Junkanoo

With the countdown on for the upcoming Junkanoo Parades, Scotiabank Bahamas recently provided financial relief to the major groups recently presenting them with their annual donations.

The Bank’s Senior Manager for Marketing and Public Relations, Leah R. Davis, presented group representatives with financial contributions to assist with preparations for the Boxing and New Years Day parades.

“Scotiabank has been making annual donations to the major Junkanoo groups for more than 10 years and we are proud to assist with the development of culture in the Bahamas” said Davis.

The leader of the Saxon Superstars Percy “Vola” Francis thanked Scotiabank on behalf of the Junkanoo groups. “We appreciate Scotiabank’s assistance and are grateful to them for their generosity,” said Francis

Davis confirmed, “Scotiabank is committed to supporting the communities in which we live and work. Recognized as a leader for its charitable donations and philanthropic activities, primarily in the areas of healthcare, education, social services and arts and culture.”
