Dear Editor,
With The Bahamas drowning in debt and crime, why is it necessary for a Bahamas Information Services (BIS) photographer to accompany Perry Christie and Fred Mitchell to South Africa to pay tribute to Nelson Mandela?
Is the tax-squeezed Bahamian public picking up the travel, hotel and living expenses of the photographer? Are other members of the Bahamian delegation unable to take photographs?
I believe a BIS photographer also travelled with the PM on his recent trip to Europe. Is this extravagance really necessary in these austere times?
- Traumatized by crime and taxes
