KFC workers to conduct strike vote

Staff at the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants have agreed to conduct a strike vote after the workers and management failed to resolve a dispute over pay during several meetings. President of the Bahamas Hotel Catering and Allied Workers Union Nicole Martin Martin said that before the strike vote is conducted workers will continue a work-to-rule policy - they will only do tasks associated with their specific jobs. "And so they (KFC employees) have said to us that they are ready. They are sick and tired of the quiet diplomacy. They are tired of us trying to reach a compromise. And clearly the company has taken the union and the workers for granted," said Martin yesterday at Workers House...
