Firefighters are investigating the cause of a fire that erupted yesterday morning at the Paradise Island Water Plant near the Atlantis Resort laundry.
According to police, the fire started shortly before noon.
Sergeant Chrislyn Skippings said officers from the Fire Branch met an aluminum sewerage container in the utility storage area, engulfed in flames.
Skippings said the initial investigation revealed that the sewerage container was being demolished when it caught fire.
Skippings added that the container was not attached to Atlantis or the laundry.

No damage occurred to Atlantis or any nearby property, said Skippings.
