A murder suspect who gave himself up to police last week made his initial court appearance yesterday.

Charlivan Larrimore is charged with the recent shooting death of Taraq Stuart at Foxies Nightclub at Armstrong and Bay Streets.

The shooting reportedly stemmed from an argument that began in the club's parking lot.

Larrimore surrendered at the Central Police Station in Grand Bahama after police issued a wanted poster for him.

He did not have a lawyer at his arraignment before Acting Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt.

Larrimore has been remanded to Her Majesty's Prisons.

Prosecutors plan to accelerate the trial process by foregoing a preliminary hearing and transferring the case to the Supreme Court by a voluntary bill of indictment.

Larrimore makes his next court appearance on November 19.
