General Situation: A weak trough in the Florida straights is helping to generate clusters of showers and isolated thunderstorms across the NorthWest Bahamas meanwhile a weak ridge of high pressure continues to linger across the area.

Monday 29th – A mix of cloud and sunshine this afternoon with clusters of showers and embedded thunderstorms; mostly fair and mild tonight with isolated showers and thunderstorms. Meanwhile partly sunny and breezy this afternoon with isolated showers and a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms. Mostly fair and warm tonight with one or two lingering showers. Maximum Temperature 91°F and Minimum Temperature 80°F. Winds E-SE 10-15 knots in the Northwest Bahamas and E at 15 knots in the remainder of the archipelago. Seas 2-4 feet over the ocean in the Northwest Bahamas and 3-5 feet elsewhere.

Tuesday 30thRemnants of ‘Dorian’ will bring about gusty winds near gale force conditions and squally showers for the islands of the Turk & Caicos Islands and the Southeast Bahamas. This trend will continue as this system migrates westwards. Meanwhile, warm and humid conditions with a mix of clouds and sunshine; clusters of showers and embedded thunderstorms is expected for the northwest and central areas of the country. Maximum Temperature 91°F and Minimum Temperature 78°F. Winds E-SE 10-15 knots in the Northwest Bahamas with stronger winds and higher seas in the Central & Southeast Bahamas. Seas 2-4 feet over the ocean for the Northwest Bahamas and higher in the Central & southeast islands. Mariners in the Central & Southeast islands and the Turk & Caicos Islands are to remain near port and be ready to seek safe harbor at a moment’s notice.

Wednesday 31st – Partly sunny warm and humid with showers and thunderstorms. Some improvement by nighttime. Maximum Temperature 89°F and Minimum Temperature 77°F. Winds SE 10-15 knots in the Northwest & Central Bahamas and E 15-20 knots in the Southeast Bahamas. Small Craft Caution in effect for the Southeast Bahamas. Seas 2-4 feet over the ocean in the Northwest & Central Bahamas and 4-6 feet over the ocean in the Southeast Bahamas.

Thursday 1st – Partly sunny warm and humid with isolated showers and thunderstorms in the Northwest & Central Bahamas and mostly sunny with isolated showers elsewhere. Maximum temperature 91°F and the Minimum temperature 79°F. Winds SE 5-10 knots over the Northwest & Central Bahamas and E-SE 10-15 knots for the remaining islands. Seas 1-3 feet over the ocean in the Northwest Bahamas and 2-4 feet over the ocean for the remainder of the islands.

Friday 2nd – Partly sunny, warm and humid with isolated showers and possible thunderstorms in the Northwest Bahamas. Whereas, the central and southeastern islands can expect mostly sunny with few isolated showers and a chance of a thunderstorm. Maximum Temperature 91°F. Minimum Temperature 76°F. Winds SE-S 5- 10 knots for the northwest and central islands, and E- SE 10-15 knots in the Southeast Bahamas. Seas 1-3 feet for the Northwest & Central Bahamas and 2-4 feet elsewhere. 


Saturday 3rd –Partly sunny, warm, and humid with isolated showers and afternoon thunderstorm storms mainly across the Northwest Bahamas with improvement by nighttime; mostly sunny and warm with the chance of showers or isolated thunderstorms mainly during the afternoon in the central and southeast islands. Maximum Temperature 91°F. Minimum Temperature 78°F. Winds S-SW at 10 knots in the Northwest Bahamas and SE 10-15 knots in the Central and Southeast Bahamas. Seas 1-3 feet in the Northwest Bahamas and 2-4 feet in the Central & Southeast Bahamas.

Sunday 4th - Partly sunny and warm with showers mainly during the morning in the Northwest Bahamas becoming mostly sunny for all areas during the afternoon with a chance of showers and possible isolated thunderstorms. Maximum temperature 92°F and Minimum temperature 77°F. Winds S –SW 5- 10 knots in the Northwest & Central Bahamas and E- SE 10-15 knots over the Southeast Bahamas. Seas 1-3 feet over the ocean in the Northwest Bahamas and 2-4 feet over the ocean for the Central & Southeast Bahamas.
