When the Antique Auto Club of The Bahamas (AACB) held its 2013 Annual Antique Auto Show this year, its members rallied around the idea of assisting a little five-year old boy with necessary life-saving heart surgery. The club always donates the proceeds of its annual shows to charities or organizations benefiting children. This year the main charitable organization selected was the Sir Victor Sassoon (Bahamas) Heart Foundation, but with the specific purpose of assisting with the expenses of much needed heart surgery specifically for young Rushon Fox.

"Knowing specifically how our funds would be used made the efforts more personal and easier to carry out while at the same time giving us a more rewarding and heart-warming feeling," said AACB President Brendan Foulkes. "Mrs. Fox and Rushon will be traveling to Joe Dimaggio Hospital in Florida prior to the end of this month for what we understand is a highly technical surgery. Our prayers and best wishes will be going with them".

The Antique Auto Club of The Bahamas was formed in July 1987 by six men interested in the hobby of vintage automobile preservation, one of the fastest growing hobbies in the world. The club now has in excess of 60 male and female members and celebrated its 26th anniversary on Saturday, July 27 with a vintage auto show in Rawson Square that tied in nicely with The Bahamas' 40 years of independence celebrations.
