Shakespeare in Paradise Theatre Festival call for scripts

NASSAU, Bahamas -- Shakespeare in Paradise Theatre Festival is looking for scripts, large and small, dramatic and comedic, especially coming from new voices in the writing community. New playwrights and old playwrights alike are asked to submit fresh, new ideas for reading at the festival's customary Play Reading Series.

Designed to expose locals and visitors to the best in World, Caribbean, African and African American theater, Shakespeare in Paradise celebrates theatre in all its forms, not just Shakespeare.

The festival is committed to engaging and developing a new audience that reflects Bahamian community and that will become invested in theater.

Guidelines for submission are as follows:
1. All submissions must be complete scripts. Shakespeare in Paradise is not accepting ideas of pitches.
2. All submissions should employ a standard play format.
3. Every submission must include a cover sheet which includes contact information for the writer.

Shakespeare in Paradise will acknowledge receipt of scripts once all submissions have been logged following the deadline, and acknowledgements will be sent by email.
