Sandals Foundation handed over a computer lab outfitted with 10 new computers to the students and faculty of Stuart Manor Primary School recently.

 Sandals Emerald Bay General Manager Jeremy Mutton cut the ceremonial ribbon to officially open the lab.

He encouraged the students to use the computers for learning and said he hoped the Sandals Foundation was giving them an opportunity they may not have had.

 During a service held in honor of Sandals and several pastors who made donations to the school, Mutton encouraged the students to use the computer lab wisely and thanked them for their appreciation.

"Not often times you hear me say I'm speechless but I have to say there are a number of initiatives we have done, a number of computer labs we have opened, but never have we been treated and thanked so graciously," Mutton said.

Ministry of Education District Superintendent for the Exumas Rudolph Smith thanked the Sandals Foundation for the work it is doing in his district. Stuart Manor Primary School Principal Margaret Woodside also lauded the foundation for the work it is carrying out in Exuma.

 "Your generosity happens to be indicative of the fact that you do care, you are concerned and you do have the interest of our students at heart, and I just do hope that we will continue on joint ventures such as these for the benefit of providing a good education for our students," he said.

The Sandals Foundation has adopted schools in Great Exuma. It recently assisted in opening a computer lab at L.N. Coakley Junior and Senior High School and donated several computers to Roker's Point Primary School.
