GB Chamber head: Govt should regulate phonecard vendors

Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce President K. Peter Turnquest says the government should take a page from the Grand Bahama Port Authority(GBPA)and move to regulate phonecard vendors around the country, as they are posing a threat to local businesses. Beginning on October 15, the GBPA will restrict the number of vendors in Freeport to 22 and their locations to bus stops only. This restriction will last for six months before the practice of roadside phonecard vending is banned altogether within the city limits.
