Baha Mar Associates judge bridge architecture and construction at IBS Build-A-Bridge Challenge

Baha Mar sponsored and participated in the 6th annual IBS Build-A-Bridge Challenge that took place at the College of The Bahamas Performing Arts Centre on April 25. Teams from 20 schools throughout The Bahamas competed, building bridges made of Popsicle sticks and Elmer’s glue to create the lightest structure that bears the heaviest load before breaking. The Baha Mar Associates hard at work judging the Popsicle stick bridges at the IBS Build-A-Bridge Challenge. “We are proud to have Baha Mar as a sponsor,”remarked Nick Dean, Principal at IBS, “This event demonstrates the positive impact of companies working together to improve our community.” Alex Haley, Project Coordinator at Baha Mar, was a judge at the event. “Working with people from different disciplines is a critical part of the construction and engineering industries. The IBS Build-A-Bridge Challenge teaches students about good communication and teamwork. Those are very important personal and professional skills,” said Haley.
