PAHO Welcomes Tobacco Ban at 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil

Sm-2026431_FULL-LND.jpg Washington, D.C., 25 March 2013 (PAHO/WHO) -- The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), Regional Office for the Americas of the World Health Organization (WHO), welcomes the announcement that the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil will be tobacco free.

Fans and players at the 2014 games will benefit from 100% smoke- and tobacco-free environments following WHO's recommendations, announced FIFA and the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) in Brazil on March 7.
