OAS Secretary General Welcomes Immigration Reform Efforts in United States

The
Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José
Miguel Insulza, welcomed the efforts in favor of immigration reform
announced by President Barack Obama and a group of Senate Democrats and
Republicans in the United States, and noted the clear parallels in the
principles of the two initiatives.

"That these efforts bear fruit is good for everyone: for the
millions of immigrants to the United States as a whole, because it is
not just an urgent matter in human terms, but also because it promotes
