A LEADING Bahamian law firm has moved to dismiss a legal action filed against it in relation to a dispute over an alleged $14 million Bahamas-based account, arguing that the plaintiff had been unable to prove her interests had been damaged by its 16-day representation.
Graham, Thompson & Company's September 13, 2010, filing of a motion to dismiss is part of wider complaint brought against it, and Bahamas-based Corner Bank, in the Columbia District Court by a US citizen, Tonya Day, who is allegedly acting as trustee/administrator for the estate of her late mother.
