Thirteen Bahamian 'Nation Builders' Honoured

Nassau, Bahamas -- Thirteen outstanding Bahamians with an accumulative 1,118 years of age were awarded, on Monday, October 22, 2012, with Nation Builder Awards for their outstanding contributions to the development of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.

The 13 included Rev. Bosfield Bethel, J.P.; Mrs. Lillian Dean-Humes; Mr. Leonard Edward Knowles; Mrs. Louise Smith; Mrs. Mildred McNeil; Mrs. Lovelyjane Miller; Mr. Monis Alexander Moss; Mr. Ercin Eugene Gibson; Mrs. Pearl Moxey; Mrs. Veronica Pintard; Mrs. Mildred Allen-Thompson; Mrs. Mary Justina Toote and Mrs. Beryl Mae Wright.

His Excellency Sir Arthur Foulkes, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, presented the honorees were with their awards, during the 15th annual Nation Builder Awards ceremony held in the Ballroom of Government House, Mount Fitzwilliam. Mrs. Dean-Humes, at 96 years of age, was the oldest honoree. Mrs. Mary Justina Toote was the youngest recipient at the age of 82.
