Fam Fest "A Celebration of Love!"

FamFest is presently celebrating its 16th annual family festival schedule for October 26 and 27th 2012 at the Arawak Cay Festival Site under the theme “A Celebration of LOVE”. Since the launch of FAMFEST in 1996 our annual event has established itself internationally attracting thousands to its musical gospel celebrations and entertaining millions of televised audiences locally and internationally through BET and TEMPO television networks.

There is nothing in the world other than music and love that has the power to transform the way we bring people together.

Famfest 2K12 is ultimately proud of the fact that we are able to take music and love and turn it into an unforgettable, uniquely Bahamian experience that celebrates our Lord and King, Jesus Christ. Since 1996, Famfest have attracted thousands upon thousands of excited visitors as this international tourist hotspot has been the platform for many international and local performing artists.

In terms of sustaining and elevating this form of unity through gospel entertainment and evangelistic ministry, through business and the employment of a massive talent pool of musicians, engineers and vendors and in terms of attracting a fairly large amount of visitors to the region; the role of Famfest as the premier platform for the Bahamian gospel industry comes over loud and clear.

LYRICALLY BLESSED BIO

Seven years of shed tears and struggles on an imperfect walk with my savior. "For we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God." But still I trod on trying my very best to use this gift given to me by him, for him. I will minister through song until there is no more song left in me.

My name is Japheth D. Ferguson and I am Lyrically Blessed. Since I could remember myself, I have been singing. Singing whatever song I heard on the radio, singing in the shower, singing in the streets, singing at school. Whether it be rapping it, chanting it, freestyling it, or singing you would always hear me before you saw me.

7 years ago God opened my eyes and helped me to realize that I had been using his gift, for all the wrong reasons and that it was time to come into his purpose for my life. Now for seven years I have been on a progressive movement for his kingdom, and though I fell along the way, throughout my stumbles he did not forsake me.

So I am determined to keep my eyes steadfast on him, keep his words in my mouth and sing his praises to the top of my lungs to bring honor to his name. I sing because I am happy, and I sing because I am free, see his eye is ALWAYS ON THIS SPARROW... That's the reason why I sing. I pray my music will touch your spirits and strengthen your walk with Christ. Become a fan and join me as I seek his face.
