Psychologist concerned about suicide trend

A new trend is developing in The Bahamas where people are using suicide as a way out, noted psychologist Dr. David Allen toldThe Guardianyesterday.
"Our teenagers and children are in pain. They[teenagers]are at a very vulnerable stage in their lives.â They are in between being an adult and still being a child and so when they see instability in the society it creates a powerful instability in their own lives,"Allen said.
Dr. Allen's comments came a day after two teens attempted suicide within a seven-and-a-half hour period on Tuesday.
