The department, with the full support of allied government agencies, must attempt to identify and register all immigrants in The Bahamas, in particular those who are here illegally. Our law enforcement agencies must increase their efforts in apprehending illegal immigrants arriving in The Bahamas. A plan must be devised and implemented to deal with the illegal immigration problem, which contributes to crime, drugs, guns and other contraband, and exposes us to infectious diseases foreign to our country.
