The business name trademark dispute between a Freeport-based drug store and a "new kid on the block" food store has been settled, Tribune Business was told, with the former agreeing to drop a complaint that saw the Registrar-General de-register the grocery company's name.
As part of the resolution to the dispute between the nine year-old Sav Mor Pharmacy and Save More Food Store, the former will both drop the Registrar-General complaint and the litigation it had launched, on the grounds that the grocery company's name was causing too much "confusion" with the similarly-spelt name it had already registered as a trademark.
