The Hot Color is Pink

The fashion trend this summer is bold and bright and it's being celebrated this weekend at the little pink party, a daylong field trip into the world of all things fashionable and scrumptious.  The little pink party will be held on Saturday, May 5 at The British Colonial Hilton Hotel where the ballrooms will be transformed into a sensational environment. Beauty mavens, fashionistas and shopaholics will enter into a shopping mall event with boutiques hosted by the likes of leading fashion houses, jewelers, cosmetic brands, health and wellness spas, pastry chefs and liquor brands. Hundreds of females will find themselves insides the pages of their favorite lifestyle magazine as they shop, sip, see, sample, snap, score and squeeze all the juice out of this style emporium.

Once again there will be a full cast of exhibitors during the fifth year of the little pink party, but also on the agenda will be performances by DJ Lissa Monet, Canada's go-to-girl, and a makeover that will see three lucky women being plucked out of the crowd for head-to-toe makeovers, styled by image stylist, Kedar Klarke. A fashion show will also be presented by Sky Bahamas themed around the destinations the carrier flies to. The winner of the makeover will receive roundtrip tickets to the destination they are unveiled in, along with a number of other prizes.

Along with cooking demonstrations (and the sampling that comes with it), fitness demonstrations and vendors offering premium products at discounted prices and lots of freebies, the little pink party is not to be missed.  An added feature to this year's party will be a show featuring an all-male panel in discussion with an all-female audience called Straight Talk, No Chaser which will be hosted by Chris "Kazi" Rolle. The conversation will be about communication, courtship, commitment and cheating. According to little pink party co-founder, Kandice Hanna, it will be a conversation about everything a woman would want to know about how a man thinks. The all-male panel will consist of Marlon Johnson, Dr. Tyneil Cargill, Jamaal Smith, Brandon "Sosa Man" Major, Mark Francis, Brent Mason and Sammie Poitier.

"It's honestly the grandest ladies day out known to The Bahamas," said Hanna, co-founder with Krista Nairn of the event that was designed to encompass and sensationalize every element of the most fabulous shopping experience for women.  "Everybody's there, everybody's talking about it," Hanna said. "You pay $5 and as soon as you enter, you get freebies at triple the entry price, and the first 500 people get free gifts from Sally Hansen. And of course, everyone loves to get the swag bags filled with summer essentials like sunglasses, water bottles, tee shirts."

And BTC will be giving away and moving phones at really low prices at special pink party prices.
The vision of the little pink party event series is to provide stylish, smart, trendsetting and on-the-go women with a unique opportunity to learn and experience products presented directly to them by a variety of craftsmen, retailers and brand representatives. The party provides a sensational platform to interact with and sell to an engaged, captivated targeted audience intent on learning about and purchasing the  latest products and trends. The event serves the local Bahamian community by hosting a fashionable opportunity to support the fight against breast cancer.

A kids suite, manned by After the Bell, allows parents to leave their children between ages four and 12 in an environment set up especially for them. With magic shows, story telling and coloring events, the kids will be just as entertained as their parents.  The cost of the little pink party is $5 in advance, $10 at the door. Admission for Straight Talk, No Chaser is $15. Children get into the little pink party free, but there is a $5 per child price for them to get into the kids suite.
