Thousands of dollars of public money stolen after official tied up, robbed

By MEGAN REYNOLDS Tribune Staff Reporter mreynolds@tribunemedia.net A FAMILY Island administrator and his son were attacked by masked gunmen, tied up and abandoned in a terrifying ordeal that resulted in the theft of a significant amount of public money early Saturday morning. Acklins administrator Gregory Knowles was gunbutted and his 16-year-old son's life was threatened by the two robbers armed with handguns who attacked them in their home when they returned at around 12.30am after being out on Friday night.
