Wells' group targets second Bacardi site

The investor group headed by ex-Cabinet Minister and MP, Tennyson Wells, is negotiating with Bacardi to acquire the latter's second New Providence-based property at Clifton Pier, Tribune Business can reveal, with plans for a joint venture to develop it into a biodiesel manufacturing facility.

Sources close to developments confirmed that Mr Wells's group, which last year closed their acquisition of the liquor manufacturer's main production plant off Carmichael Road, were now in talks to purchase its Clifton Pie facility. That consists of several large, heavy-duty storage tanks and a jetty/docking facility.
