Speeches from Mr Chris Gray, director of the Freeport Harbour Company, an official of the Chinese-based Hutchison Whampoa group, owner and operator of the Freeport Container Port, and Deputy Prime Minister Symonette were followed by a response of appreciation by Vice Premier Hui.

The delegation then toured Freeport Harbour by boat, viewing the massive Freeport Container Port which boasts a volume of more than 2 million containers per year, and Grand Bahama Shipyard's three large floating dry docks, including the largest in the world.
