The Red Dress Soiree

THE HOTEL ballroom was filled to capacity on Saturday at the inaugural Red Dress Soiree, a fashion fundraiser for the Bahamas AIDS Foundation. Over 100 guests attended the memorable event, where leading Bahamian women paraded originally designed red gowns created by local fashion designers.

The ten women who strut down the runway in the Sheraton Ballroom were mostly clothed in conservative styles, except one of the youngest women, Golden Girl Tonique Williams-Darling, whose Indira Moss designed silk dress featured an eye catching, thigh high split.

Theodore Elyett was the only designer to experiment with colour, using a pink, green and gold flora pattern ...
