The Highway Church of God under the leadership of Bishop Robert A. McPhee are in the midst of celebrating the fact that Christ's return is imminent at a crusade which ends on Friday.
The evening worship services commence nightly at 7 p.m. at the Church of God Temple, on Coconut Grove Avenue and K.D. Josey Way in Coconut Grove. The praise team ushers in the presence of God nightly, with music provided by the Crusaders Brass Band.
Crusade organizers say in a world where every pillar of society seems to be under attack, with rampant crime and violence and economic hardship that it is their mandate to return their focus to the job at hand. They say believers should realign themselves to the precepts and instructions in the Bible.
During the crusade he said they reaffirm their mandate to the body of Christ to do all they can to rescue their brothers and sisters entrapped by the deceit of sin and the systems of the fallen world. At the same time as believers he says they must place urgency on purging themselves of the works of the flesh as Christ's bride without spot or wrinkle, and live by His spirit.
The crusade also featured a number of day session lecture series. Speaking today at 12 noon will be Jack Thompson, director of immigration. Apostle Raymond Wells, senior pastor at Living Waters Kingdom Ministries is expected to speak on Friday, February 24 at 12 noon.
On Saturday, February 25 at 8 p.m. the church will host Kevan McKenzie in concert, and conclude on Sunday, February 26 with a parade through the streets of New Providence beginning at 2 p.m. This year's parade will be in honor of Bishop Rudolph V. Pinder Sr., the former second assistant general superintendent of The Highway Church of God, Bahamas.
