NASSAU/PARADISE Island hotels recorded "the best December ever" in 2011, according to Tourism and Aviation Minister Vincent Vanderpool-Wallace, who said yesterday that air arrivals for December were up 7.1 per cent.
Speaking at a press conference at the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association's (CHTA) Caribbean Marketplace summit, Mr Vanderpool Wallace said: "We began to see an uptick in our business very strongly as of November of last year and December.
"In a number of metrics we had the best December ever in terms of room revenues in the Nassau Paradise Island areas."
