First up are spay and neuter clinics to be held in Exuma on January 14th - 16th and then Eleuthera January 18th - 19th. Inspector Grant and Lydia will be traveling off to these islands to help facilitate this. If you have friends and family on those islands, be sure to let them know.

2012 BHS Raffle tickets will begin to be sold as of February 1st with the draw to be held March 31st. The ticket price this year is $20.00 or 6 for $100.00. We have our traditional travel prizes (London, Mediterranean cruise, Caribbean cruise, Ft. Lauderdale) along with a Super Value gift certificate and a designer necklace, so be sure to purchase several for you and your family!

On February 4th, the 2012 BHumane Banner Campaign will be launched with a gala evening at Government House. Tickets are $65, dress is smart casual. Ticket price includes food, and the spread promises to be tasty (carvery, vegan station, crepe station, and more). Further info can be found HERE

If you have not yet sponsored a banner with your pet on it, there is still time to do so! Banner sponsorship is $350.00, and you will be able to keep the banner once it comes down.

Our annual Animal Fun Day has been moved earlier in the year in the hopes of cooler weather. Please join us at the Botanical Gardens on Sunday, February 26th from noon to 6 p.m. for an afternoon of fun-filled activities. If you are able to volunteer for this event, please contact me as soon as possible. We are looking for people to run tables, sell raffle tickets (the 'that day' raffle, not the big one, though we will have the others available there as well), help out in the show ring and more.

Start planning your outfit now for the Disco Night to be held March 31st at the Sheraton Cable Beach Resort. This is also the night the raffle will be drawn so come out and party with us.

There will be a Cinco de Mayo event at Jacaranda House, details to be announced.
