HAD the Bahamas Volleyball Federation not sent its men and women national teams to the Central Caribbean Volleyball Championships, the men would not have qualified for the Continental Championships and the Pan Am Cup.
According to federation's first vice president Joseph 'Joe Mo' Smith, despite having to secure a loan of $22,000, they were still able to take the two teams to Suriname for the championships.
While the women ended up fifth place, the men picked up the bronze and will now have to prepare for the two tournaments next year.
