A FOX Hill man was last night behind bars at Her Majesty's Prison following his arraignment in Magistrate's Court yesterday on a number of charges, including rape.

Leslie Ferguson, 38, of Joe Farrington Road, was brought before Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez at Court One, Bank Lane, where he faced charges of rape, assault with intent to rape, burglary and armed robbery.

It is claimed Ferguson, pictured, on September 3, 2007, broke into a house in College Gardens at around 3am. While there, he allegedly assaulted a 37-year-old woman with the intent to rape her.
