TYRONE Olander, director of the Bahamas Open, has announced that four pioneers of the sport will be honoured during next year's event, scheduled for March 12-17 at the National Tennis Centre.
They are Edith Powell, Vicky Knowles-Andrews, Lady Margaret Symonette and Lady Edith Turnquest.
The runners-up trophy in doubles will be presented in honour of Powell, the doubles championship trophy will be presented in honour of Knowles-Andrews, the singles runners-up trophy will be presented in honour of Symonette and the singles championship trophy will be presented in honour of Turnquest.
