DNA CAMPAIGN IN PRIME MINISTER'S CONSTITUENCY

THE DEMOCRATIC National Alliance (DNA) held a street meeting on Tuesday night in Murphy Town, Abaco, to announce its candidate for North Abaco to run against Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham in the upcoming general election.

Even as party leader Branville McCartney announced the candidacy of Sonith Lockhart for North Abaco, the DNA's candidate for South Beach, Sammie "Star" Poitier, was having his position stripped from him.

Mr McCartney told The Tribune: "Unfortunately, Sammie Poitier is no longer a candidate for the DNA for South Beach.
