Retired Tourism Veteran Recognized With Pioneer Award

Terrecita Kemp with renowned gospel music legend, Dr. Bobby Jones of the Dr. Bobby Jones Gospel Hour, who presented the award.NASSAU, Bahamas -- Ms. Terrecita Kemp was recently acknowledged for her distinguished career as a civil servant when she recognized internationally with the Pioneer Award at the 6th Annual Salute to Greatness Awards held recently at the Crystal Ballroom of the Wyndham Cable Beach Resort, Nassau.

Hosted by the King Foundation in the United States, the "Salute to Greatness" Awards are presented each year to individuals and organizations globally that have made numerous contributions to enhancing the quality of life for others, exemplifying  excellence in leadership, and demonstrating a commitment to the principles and philosophy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  

Special guest at the event was the renowned gospel music legend, Dr. Bobby Jones, who made the presentation to Mrs. Kemp. Ms. Kemp said her philosophy has always been that "We must remember that the degree of success in anything worth pursuing is always measured by the degree of dedication and commitment to the task at hand.

"I had enjoyment for a life time while at the Ministry of Tourism," said Ms. Kemp.  The many areas in which I served ensured that I was able to contribute directly to visitor satisfaction and making sure that our guests had memorable vacations."
