The Government Secondary Schools Sports Association (GSSSA) volleyball championships got underway yesterday afternoon at the D.W. Davis Gymnasium. In the Junior Girls Division, the A.F. Adderley Tigers defeated the H.O. Nash Lions, 29-27 and 26-24, and in the Junior Boys Division, the D.W. Davis Pitbulls defeated the C.H. Reeves Raptors, 25-22 and 25-16.

In the Senior Girls Division, the C.R. Walker Knights defeated the C.I. Gibson Rattlers, 25-15 and 25-18, and in the Senior Boys Division, the Rattlers turned the tables on the Knights, recording a tough three-set win. They prevailed, 15-25, 25-21 and 18-16. Game Two in all four divisions will be held today at the D.W. Davis Gym.
