Enclosed is a Press Statement by The Progressive Liberal Party. It is with deep regret and concern that the Progressive Liberal Party again registers its concern regarding the Government's in-ability to "execute" on the hosting of international events which can benefit the Bahamas in the social, sporting and cultural development of our beloved country: while at the same time providing financial benefits and international exposure to the Commonwealth.

The PLP again confirm its belief that the Bahamas is more than capable of hosting the Championships, just as we still remain convinced that we could have and should have hosted the Carifesta events in 2008 or 2010...
