First phase of $15 Million Lucayas solar power project on Grand Bahama set for commissioning at month's end

NASSAU, BAHAMAS — Inti Corporation, a Bahamian provider of renewable energy solutions engaged to construct and operate the $15 million Lucayas Solar Power project on Grand Bahama Island, has announced the upcoming commissioning of its Fairfield solar site scheduled for the end of this month.

The Fairfield solar site represents the first utility-scale solar or renewable energy facility in The Bahamas, marking a historic achievement in the nation's energy sector, while also paving the way for future projects like the ongoing development of the Devon solar site.

Owen Bethel, CEO of Inti Corporation speaking about the project stated: "The commissioning of the Fairfield site is a testament to our team's dedication and hard work, reflecting our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and providing reliable, renewable energy solutions. Bethel, while acknowledging the progress at the Devon site: "The Corporation is making significant headway on the Devon solar project site, currently in the advanced stages of development.
