Camping, hiking, swimming, and fishing are just a few of the Easter camp activities enjoyed annually by members of the Bahamas Scout Association’s 12th Bahamas Scout Group. The camp, typically hosted in Eleuthera, affords boys and girls the opportunity to incorporate recreational fun in learning the scouting principals of duty to God, duty to country, and duty to others.

A donation by Consolidated Water (Bahamas) Ltd. (CWCO) made way for 10 deserving children, who otherwise would not have the opportunity, to participate in the enriching experience last year. In recognition of their support, the 12th Bahamas Scout Group presented CWCO with a plaque of gratitude, acknowledging the significant difference their contribution made.

Henderson Cash, CWCO’s General Manager, said, "The opportunity to support the 12th Bahamas Scout Group and by extension, the youth of The Bahamas, is a reflection of CWCO’s commitment to the communities we serve. Witnessing the direct impact our contribution has on these young individuals is truly rewarding.”

With a legacy of over 75 years in the country, the 12th Bahamas Scout Group fosters leadership, duty, and service, preparing young individuals to be positive, active members of society. The Easter camp serves as a platform for members to earn proficiency badges and mark significant milestones in their scouting journey.

Jason Davis, a 12th Bahamas Scout Group Scout Leader, said, "As a non-profit youth organization, all of our finances are gained through either fundraisers, parents, alumni donations or sponsorship from companies such as CWCO. This kind of support is transformative, not just for the individual scouts but for the entire community. It empowers youth to become capable, confident leaders."
