NASSAU, BAHAMAS — Eyewitness News understands from officials at the Office of the Prime Minister that former Governor General C. A Smith, 86, was airlifted to the capital from Grand Bahama to receive medical treatment earlier today.

C A. Smith is currently in stable condition and resting comfortably in hospital.
