The Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) said yesterday there will no longer be Cabinet briefings.

Instead, OPM said the "Cabinet briefing and the Office of the Prime Minister press briefing will be combined into a single, more comprehensive weekly briefing event to promote efficiency".

"In light of this, there will be no be no Cabinet briefing tomorrow," OPM said.

OPM said its press office will continue to get answers for the media.

Deputy Prime Minister Chester Cooper, who appeared on "Z Live" on Guardian Radio yesterday said, "As we approach our second anniversary, we will improve our communications, even demonstrating how people can participate in some of the activities that we're seeing."

The weekly press briefing at OPM started under the Minnis administration but eventually ceased for unknown reasons. When Prime Minister Philip Davis and the Progressive Liberal Party won the 2021 election, the weekly briefings resumed.
