For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:



Active Systems:

The National Hurricane Center is currently issuing advisories on

Post-Tropical Cyclone Idalia, located less than a hundred miles

west-southwest of Bermuda, on Tropical Storm Jose, located about

1000 miles northeast of Bermuda, on recently upgraded Tropical Storm

Gert, located several hundred miles east-southeast of Bermuda, on

Tropical Depression Twelve, located several hundred miles northwest

of the Cabo Verde Islands, and has issued the last advisory on

Post-Tropical Cyclone Franklin, located several hundred miles

northeast of Bermuda.



Eastern and Central Tropical Atlantic:

A tropical wave is expected to move off the west coast of Africa

within the next day or so. Environmental conditions appear conducive

for some gradual development of this system during the early and

middle parts of next week, and a tropical depression could form

while it moves westward to west-northwestward at 15 to 20 mph over

the eastern and central portions of the tropical Atlantic.
