FUNERAL SERVICE FOR SHIRLEY SYLVIA KNOWLES NEWTON, Age 78 years of Woodbury Court, Domingo Heights and formerly of Moore's Island, Abaco died on Saturday, July 22nd, 2023 will be held on Saturday, August 19th, at 10:00am at Pentecostal Baptist Church, Alexandria Boulevard Nassau Village.
Officiating will be Reverend Dr. Felton Rolle, assisted by Reverend Samuel Lightbourn and Reverend Elvina Rose. Interment will follow in Old Trail Cemetery, Abundant Life Road.
She was predeceased by her husband: Philip Caleb "Sir K" Newton on Monday, June 7th, 2021. Her son Eugene Weir in November 2020 and Her parents: Awood and Gina Simms Knowles.
Left to mourn her passing are Her Sons: Dwayne Weir, Eljay Newton and Uzziah Newton.
Step son: McNair Newton
Grandchildren: Rico Weir, D'Angelo Newton, Dwaynia and Deshann Weir, Eljay Newton Jr., Elshanna, Zaniyah, Ziarah and Ja'ah Newton, and Zariah Walkine
Daughters-in-law: Celeste Weir, Cindy and Joan Newton.
Sisters: Gloria Burrows, Emily Dames, Genevie Pinder, Hilda Stuart and Sybilane Davis.
Brother: Randolph Knowles
Brothers-in-law: Michael Burrows, Milton Dames, Nathan Pinder, Samuel Pinder, Norvie Stuart and Roston Newton.
Sisters-in-law: Sandra Knowles and Melba Newton.
Nieces: Charmaine, Robin, and April Burrows, Vangie, Michelle and Kim Knowles, Linda Rodgers, Malinda Green, Claudine Lightbourn, Sophia Butler, Selena Adams, Rudel Roberts, Nurse Shanty Williams, Vanny Davis, Rantica Newbold, Shansa Knowles and Miltrid Knowles.

Viewing will be held at Clarke's Funeral Home & Crematorium on Friday, August 18th, from 10:30am to 4:30pm, and Saturday from 9:00am at the church until service time.
