Nearly 300 get national honors

Nearly 300 people, Bahamians and foreign nationals, were awarded national honors, the Office of the Governor General announced on Independence Day.

Inlcuded in the list of honorees are Rwandan President Paul Kagame and US Congresswoman Maxine Waters, who both received the order of excellence.

The awardees are as follows:
