Realtors: Too Early to Assess Storm's Impact

FAMILY ISLAND realtors yesterday said it was too early to determine the impact Hurricane Irene has had on their respective real estate markets, especially second homes, with several noting that business has been slow all around.

"Business has been a lot slower due to the economy, and it has been typically slower during this time of the year. It's hard to say what impact the storm would have on the real estate market; it's really hard to say," Ed Newell, of Abaco Estate Services, told Tribune Business yesterday.
