HG Christie Congratulates New Legend on Long Island Regatta Win

HG Christie celebrates with the crew of the New Legend after their major victory in the A-Class of Long Island Regatta. The 15-member team came out the victors after three races to win the series, taking home the cash and bragging rights of being the first A-class winners of Long Island Regatta since sailing became the country's national sport.

This is the second year HG Christie has been an official sponsor of the New Legend. HG Christie President and Managing Broker John Christie congratulated the crew on its stellar performance and winning streak.

The New Legend crew was the returning champ of Long Island Regatta and also won the A-Class at the National Family Island Regatta in April. The sloop is marked with HG Christie’s logo and the crew proudly wore shirts provided by HG Christie as they sailed through the seas on their way to victory.

New Legend is captained by Long Island Native David Knowles.
