You Lost Your Phone. Now What?

Unfortunately, most of us have been there: One minute you’re texting or scrolling away, and the next, you can’t find your phone.

In a BDG Studios/OnePoll survey, we asked 1,000 Gen Zers in the United States[1] about their phone habits. It turns out that 14% of them misplace their phones every day, leaving the cherished device everywhere from “in and around the toilet” to “under my dog.”

Some other weird places? More than 100 survey respondents have left their phones in their refrigerator or freezer, and about eight respondents have left their phones on top of, around, or underneath their cars.

“I once was gardening and happened to leave my phone in the garden next to the tomato plants… It took several days and multiple searches before I found it and started laughing at myself.”

It’s a good practice to secure your data and keep cloud-based backups before any gardening mishaps. But that doesn’t mean all is lost, even if your phone is buried in the sand of a beach in The Bahamas.

Enter Samsung Galaxy’s Find My Mobile. The free service makes your phone ring at maximum volume for easy locating and also lets you remotely lock your phone’s screen so you can make sure your privacy is protected, no matter where your phone is.

While you still might lose your phone, at least you can relax knowing it’s secure.
