A 31-year-old resident of Florida Court was on Friday committed to stand trial for the murder of a man on bail.

Kirkland Bullard received a voluntary bill of indictment (VBI) that sent his case to the Supreme Court when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt on Friday.

Bullard, who is on remand, is accused of the December 22, 2022 shooting death of D'amatto Deveaux.

Deveaux, 31, who was wearing an ankle bracelet as a condition of his bail for drug possession and possession of a prohibited weapon, was shot dead while on the front porch of his home on Eighth Street in Coconut Grove.

Bullard will be arraigned in the Supreme Court on the murder on charge on June 26.

Two men will be arraigned in the Supreme Court on May 12 in connection with the shooting of Andre Kikivarakis in South Abaco last year.

Billy Antoine and Theophilus Lloyd, who are both 35, were committed to stand trial when they received VBIs in the case when they appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt.

Shortly after 11 p.m., on September 28, 2022, officers from Sandy Point Police Station went to Crossing Rocks to investigate reports of gunshots.

When they arrived, they found Kikivarakis dead behind a business with multiple gunshot wounds to the body.
