The Bahamas 50th Independence Anniversary United States Tour

Bahamas Events International (BEI), a Bahamas and United States based entertainment company is in its final preparations for The Bahamas 50th Independence Anniversary “All ah We is One” 4 City Celebration Tour in the United States. New York, Washington, D.C., Atlanta and Miami are the four cities selected for the upcoming Tour.

Bahamas Events International will create and produce The Bahamas 50th Year Independence Celebration as a Bahamas Experience that promotes and attracts diverse audiences, sponsors and other interests to free admission outdoor events in very historic, iconic and accessible venues in major urban markets in the United States. The cities are prime visitor markets that enjoy The Bahamas and a way for The Bahamas to celebrate and say Thank You to its many U.S. visitors and “show the manner of our bearing”.

BEI stated  “The Bahamas Ambassador to the United States H. E. Wendall Jones has endorsed the initiative of our efforts to promote The Bahamas and to involve the diaspora in the 50th Celebrations of Independence in a grand way. Consuls General in the various jurisdictions have also supported the efforts.” 

The four cities tour will heavily promote the Bahamas and educate Americans and non-Americans about the culture of The Bahamas. Several Bahamian groups will perform at the events, including groups made up of Bahamians in the diaspora. The diaspora and U.S. community organizations, corporate executives, local, county, state and federal government officials and agencies have been very cooperative and supportive of the Tour.  

BEI principals Fred Munnings and Nadir Hasan have been involved with special events productions in The Bahamas and abroad organizing and producing entertainment for Junkanoo in June, Jazzin’ in The Park, Louisiana World Exposition, Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival, 1806 Commemoration of the African Slave Trade, World Music Festival, Zulu Lundi Gras Festival, China-Bahamas Cultural Exchange and other special events. Munnings is a longtime leading stalwart in The Bahamas entertainment industry and Hasan served for over 40 years with the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival & Foundation. 

Press conferences are planned for release of the “All ah We is One” Celebration Tour in Nassau on Tuesday, May 1st and then followed in the respective cities after the initial announcement. Final confirmed dates and times in the various venues of Central Park (NYC), West Potomac-National Park Service (D.C.), Piedmont Park (Atlanta) and Little Bahamas-Coconut Grove (Miami) along with a stellar Bahamian Talent Lineup & Personalities, Event Features, Food, Arts & Crafts Concessionaires, Promotional Contests, Site Designs, Media Broadcast Platform, Marketing Campaign and National and International Sponsors will be disclosed at the Press Event(s).
