The 'All Clear' was declared for all islands except Grand Bahama, Abaco, Bimini, and Berry Islands today at a NEMA update press conference -- as Hurricane Nicole continued its trek across the northern islands to South Florida.  Acting Prime Minister the Hon. Chester Cooper led the update at NEMA, with State Minister for Disaster Risk Reduction the Hon. Myles LaRoda and NEMA Director Captain Stephen Russell.  In attendance was Minister of National Security the Hon. Wayne Munroe.

As a result of the 'all clear' government offices and schools will reopen tomorrow, with the exception of those on islands still under storm protocols.

In reviewing events during the storm's passage it was noted that a large number of persons this time sought the safety of hurricane shelters.

The Acting Prime Minister commended the resilience of the Bahamian people.
