The Organization for Responsible Governance (ORG) is excited to announce its new
partnership with Modinet Global Software Ltd., an innovative startup company that
operates a digital advertising system to promote and drive businesses forward through
a nationwide network of remote-controlled digital monitors.
Modinets digital ad monitor placement, an electronic billboard, allows businesses to
display animated commercials and announcements on a flat screen placed strategically
on their premises. It has generously placed ORGs messages of responsible
governance on digital marketing platforms in over 60 businesses on islands across The
Bahamas including New Providence, Andros, Bimini, Eleuthera, Grand Bahama, and
Great Exuma.
Additionally, Modinet has donated its technical expertise and is working with the ORG
team to adjust public education materials to fit the platform best. Through Modinets
support, ORG public education ads are now being featured nationwide every six
minutes.
Modinet, which has executed successful partnerships with Aliv and many top Bahamian
firms, approached ORG about the partnership after observing the not-for-profits local
and international events promoting accountability and democracy. Modinet is grounded
in similar beliefs and values, as evidenced by its President, Marc Hohnstein, who holds
a membership with the Atlantic Treaty Association, an international group committed to
freedom, liberty, peace, security, and the rule of law.
Hohnstein has a master’s degree in finance and has held key positions in the German
and United States financial services sector. He has worked with Bank One- now Chase
Bank- and Wells Fargo, has led an international consulting company, LCA Global
Consulting, and served as a member of the Economic Council to the Christian
Democratic Union (CDU) Party of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, representing the
interests of thousands of small and medium-sized firms.
When asked about the inspiration behind this partnership, Hohnstein replied, "We need
organizations like ORG to fill the gap and to share knowledge of how the government
system works. We must do our part to share everyday people's influence on these
systems.”
In addition to the in-kind donation of digital advertising, Modinet will be promoting ORGs
new Corporate Circle program and mobilizing other private sector leaders to become
involved with matters of good governance, as it sees a business case for private sector
businesses getting involved to help the nation.
“its all about making their brands and businesses stand out from the crowd, according
to Modinet Global’s Managing Partner, Arthur Ray Thompson, who has enjoyed well
over 25 years of success across various sectors in The Bahamas.
ORG’s Executive Director, Matthew Aubry, underscored, "The ORG team is
exceptionally grateful for Modinets belief in our work. Their partnership and expertise
are significantly expanding ORGs capacity to reach and help Bahamians to Get
informed and Get Involved" on issues of governance and civic participation. Modinets
dedication to corporate social responsibility sets a high bar for cross-sector partnerships
in The Bahamas.”
The partnership between ORG and Modinet is anticipated to run for 12 months. It
represents a significant lift to support ORGs engagement work with the public to further
the cause of responsible governance within the country.
