[Nassau, Bahamas, August 16, 2022] – Nassau Cruise Port Ltd (NCPL), is once again lending its support to the Bain and Grants Town Community through a back-to-school outreach initiative for the purchase of school shoes. Nassau Cruise Port’s Management team made a personal donation a few months ago to the Mt. Olive Baptist Church’s feeding program, “Meals on Wheels” and purchased a freezer and meats to feed those in need.  Now, the Company is supporting Bain and Grants Town through the purchase of gift cards from John’s Shoes for students to buy school shoes and help ease the stress on parents and families for back-to-school shopping. Distribution of the gift certificates is being provided by Rev. Dr. C.B. Moss and Minister Francisca Moss of Mt. Olive. Through the school shoe donation, 30 kids or 30 families in need will be able to receive a gift card for $50 each equating to a $1,500 donation by NCPL.

“Nassau Cruise Port Ltd. and its Team is committed to outreach initiatives within the downtown area” said Mike Maura Jr., CEO of Nassau Cruise Port Ltd. “Piggybacking off the last donation that NCPL’s management team spearheaded with the Bain and Grants Town’s feeding program, we know that the community has kids in the area that need school shoes, and families that may need help to purchase them.” He continued. “Nassau Cruise Port is passionate about helping surrounding communities such as Bain and Grants Town and pleased to be able to lend a hand. We hope to partner with other organizations in the future to extend our charitable outreach in other areas downtown.”
